Float Away

I have so many emotions

But also

None at all

I bottle them all up

Let them float there

Right on the surface

Until they are just

Out of reach

Until I can barely

See them

And you see as they float away

I can hear them

In the distance

They appear to be gone

Like they were never there

But later on

The realization hits

I'm not in an ocean of my feelings

I'm in a pool of them

So just as the emotions float away

Slowly they circulate back

To me

Slowly swirling around 

They always come back

Back just in view

So I'm surrounded 

With these emotions

Left to deal

And that's when you come to find

You can not escape your emotions

They just don't float away

They come back to you

On the surface 

But you can't float away
